“we are not the user”
I have always been interested in innovation, technology, arts and behavioral science. I have a M.Sc in Architecture from Brandenburg Technical University Cottbus in Germany with design integration. My design background combined with years of experience in working with and leading teams of designers, has validated my expertise in solving complex research problems while creating joyful and powerful user experiences and delivering high-quality products.
My Journey to UX started when I moved to Berlin during my studies. I was suddenly surrounded by amazing people from various backgrounds in the tech industry, and this eventually led me to the exciting world of UX – and the decision to enroll in the UX Design Institute backed by Glasgow Caledonian University. After diving into each topic and being immersed in the key skills and topics, I discovered a deep passion for learning more about UX methodologies. I started taking on every opportunity I could find to develop a holistic view of the user experience across the broad and diverse digital ecosystem. I worked in cross-cultural and cross-functional teams to develop an understanding for the technical implications of my design decisions, and developed a sense for identifying and prioritizing experience problems. In my current position, I completed a stand-alone project that impressed a client and secured a long term contract for the company. As a result, I was promoted to Lead UX Designer, overseeing a team of international UX Designers in taking design desicions for future project with this client. My outstanding achievements in my current role has earned me the employee of the year badget. Additionally, I recently completed SAFe Agilist certification to enhance my leadership skills.
I strongly believe that my natural talent for empathy, my fascination and curiosity for cognitive sciences, my love for art & technology and my problem solving mindset have helped me along the way of becoming a professional UX Designer. I am excited for new job opportunities and for exploring the impact that design can have on society.
